Thanks, this was very interesting. As an old-school sewer, I have never used one, although I do own a vintage Kenmore one. I really appreciate your use of video. It's so helpful to see exactly what's happening.

My Pfaff 1229 was purchased in 1984 and is all mechanical.. Pfaff IDT was the first and set the standard for the walking foot and still is built-in to this day. All the clunkier versions were add-ons to offer their customers something.. The Janome walking foot will fit onto the Juki and it works well. Metal teeth & build are sturdier. I own Brother Dream machine, Babylock Triumph and Handi-Quilter Amara. Will NOT part with my Pfaff.
